The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Hon. Director Dr. Narendra Chaudhury and HOD of MME Department, Dr. R.K.Paretkar.Two Faculties, namely, Dr. Jatin Bhatt & Dr. Ajay Likhite accompanied the students on Industrial Visit. A four membered student committee was made to ensure a successful Industrial Visit.The motive behind this visit was multiple. It was not just conducted to expose the students to industry working but also to open opportunities of internships and placements for these students.
As one of the organizers, contacted industries to get a formal invitation to visit their plants. Ensured a smooth and systematic communication between the college authorities, department faculties and the industry authorities. Was successfully able to seek permission from 4 industries to visit their plant.
Apart from this, managed the arrangements of travelling, boarding and food; prerequisites for any industrial visit in the most economic way. Seeked help from travel agent for easy administration. Handled large sums of money and monitored proper dispersion of funds.
Got an opportunity to lead the department and was thus able to encash on experiences. Also learnt how to maintain composure in stressful situations and taking appropriate decisions.
By preserving bills and other details, the committee was even able to convert the self funded Industrial Visit to a Institute funded Industrial Visit.
